UPDATE (11:30 AM Tuesday, August 26, 2025) - Portland Water District anticipates that repairs to the broken water main on Broadway will take approximately two days to complete. Once the pipe has been repaired, Public Works will assess the condition of the roadway and make a plan for repairs, as significant material was washed away during the incident. Please continue to avoid this area and travel via alternate routes.

A significant water main break has occurred on Broadway this morning, Tuesday, August 26, near the intersection of Huntress Ave (in the area of Dairy Queen) that has impacted the entirety of the roadway. All traffic (both eastbound and westbound) is being diverted between Main Street and Church Street.
