The Maine Trust for Local News announced last week that it will no longer offer the printed version of the South Portland-Cape Elizabeth Sentry. Beginning at the end of March 2025, all content will be online. We know this transition will be challenging for some in our community who relied on the print version that arrived in their mailbox each week to follow what's going on in the City. Fortunately, there are many ways you can keep up with City events, projects, and more.

At The Sentry, we are committed to delivering the local journalism you rely on—news that informs, entertains, and highlights the stories that shape our communities. As the way people consume news continues to evolve, we are adapting to better serve our readers and focus our resources on community coverage.
Starting this March, we will be making important changes to how we deliver community news to the towns of Cape Elizabeth, South Portland and surrounding communities.
What’s Changing?
We will no longer produce The Sentry as a print edition. The final print edition will be published on March 28th.
