Meet the Mahoney City Center Committee (M3C)! The Committee is made up of South Portland residents representing every district plus city staff, city councilors, and non-voting members including representatives from the project management and design teams.
The Committee is working at the direction of the City Council and in collaboration with the community to transform Mahoney into a consolidated municipal campus and community destination with theater, meeting spaces, outdoor spaces, and gymnasium designed to serve South Portland for the next 100 years. If approved by voters, the center will comprehensively solve pressing and costly facilities needs at aging municipal buildings and create a new community-centered hub for city services, arts, culture and connection.
