Weather Alert from South Portland Public Works: Thursday, February 13, 2025 Trash/Recycling collection is postponed until Friday, February 14. Casella has cancelled curbside collection for Thursday due to the forecast of ice/freezing rain and snow. They will service Thursday on Friday and Friday on Saturday. If bins are already curbside, please pull them back so that plows can clear and widen roads.
Please be advised that the Transfer Station may be closed Thursday if staff is required to plow the roads. We will be closely monitoring the weather and accumulation to assess if and when a closure is necessary.
