New! Beginning in July, the City will send an annual tax bill mailing to tax payers instead of bills each quarter. This more sustainable practice will also save the City money, which it will invest back into the Finance department so we can better serve you. For example, the expected savings has allowed for the hiring of an additional cashier in the Treasury office. What to know:
- Your July bill will have four payment stubs and include the dates that each payment is due (August 22, 2024; November 14, 2024; February 13, 2025; May 15, 2025)
- You are responsible for paying your amount due each quarter. You can also elect to pay your bill in its entirety.
- You can make your payment online at southportland.gov, by dropping your payment off in the payment drop box at City Hall, or by mail.
