City of South Portland property tax payments are due May 15, 2025. This is the second and final payment of the fiscal year. If you have not yet submitted your payment, you can pay several ways:
- Online via our Citizen Self Service portal (processing fees apply)
- By mail. Send checks to: City of South Portland Attn: Treasury, PO Box 9422 South Portland, ME 04116-9422
- By using the secure tax payment drop-off boxes next to the front and rear doors of City Hall
- In person at the Treasury office at City Hall (25 Cottage Rd., South Portland, ME) during regular business hours: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 7:30 AM-5 PM and Tuesday 9 AM-6 PM (Closed Friday)

- Did you know you can pay your property taxes monthly, bi-monthly, or on whatever schedule works for you, as long as your amount due is received by the due date?
- The City and State offer a number of tax relief programs and exemptions that may reduce future tax bills. Applications for the City's Senior Citizen Property Tax Relief Program must by submitted on or before April 30 of each year.
