The City Manager has announced that the City's 4-day workweek will be made permanent. The City began piloting the new schedule in August 2023 as part of an effort to improve employee work/life balance and staff recruitment and retention.
City Manager Morelli said in a memo to Council, "Based on the results of the public and employee surveys, anecdotal/qualitative feedback, discussions amongst department directors, and in recognition that other communities have also implemented more flexible work options such as remote work and/or a condensed work week, I believe continuing the four-day work week is in the best interest of the City."
