The Water Resource Protection Department (WRP) is pleased to announce that Aubrey Strause will be joining the Collection Systems Division staff on January 21, 2025 as the City's Stormwater Program Coordinator. Aubrey will be replacing long-time coordinator Fred Dillon, who was recently promoted to Director of WRP. She is a licensed professional engineer, and brings experience in stormwater regulatory compliance, water quality protection, erosion and sedimentation prevention and control, development and redevelopment, construction inspection, and land use planning. She previously worked as a Compliance Manager for Acorn Engineering, as the Maine DEP Land Bureau Stormwater Engineer for Southern Maine, and with the Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District. Aubrey lives in Scarborough with her husband Jobe, dog Phineas, and too many cats. Aubrey loves gardening, hiking, travel, good coffee, good beer, cooking, and spending quality time with good friends (most of whom are also advocates for water quality!) She has big shoes to fill, but is ready for the challenge and excited to put her knowledge and skills to work for the City of South Portland!
