The Comprehensive Plan Committee (CPC) is meeting to discuss draft city-wide strategies related to climate and ecological readiness and draft neighborhood-specific strategies for waterfront areas on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024 at 5:30pm (note earlier time!) in City Council Chambers at 25 Cottage Road.
Throughout the remainder of 2024, the CPC is scheduled to discuss draft strategies and policies recommended for inclusion in the South Portland 2040 Comprehensive Plan update as part of Phase IV of the Comp Plan update process. These draft strategies have been developed for consideration by the CPC and are informed by public feedback received throughout summer 2024 and previous phases.
The agenda and materials for the October 16th CPC meeting and future meetings can be accessed online via BoardDocs. All meetings will be held in a hybrid/virtual format on Zoom (see meeting agenda for Zoom details) and will be broadcast live via SPC-TV. Members of the public are encouraged to attend CPC meetings or to submit written public comment to the CPC by emailing compplan@southportland.org.
