COVID-19: The City's Response and Reopening Plans
South Portland Bus Service to Return to Regular Routes and Schedule August 3
 
On August 3rd the South Portland Bus Service returned to our regular schedule and operating all our routes. You can see the details on our website. We will continue to charge no fares.
 
Please remember that you must wear a mask, and please practice social distancing when you are on the bus. We will get you to the Mall, to City Hall and to Spring Point – all around town!

The City of South Portland COVID-19 Hardship Small Business Grant Program application is now available online. This program was created to provide financial assistance to South Portland small businesses impacted by COVID-19. The maximum grant award is $2,000. Read More
There are many City Boards & Committees currently seeking members.  Most of these committees are currently meeting remotely via Zoom.  If you are interested in serving your community, there are many opportunities.  Click here for more information and to fill out an application.

A reminder that nomination petition papers are now available at the City Clerk's office for local offices appearing on the ballot for the November 3 municipal election.  The following offices are up for election:
 
City Councilor - District 1
City Councilor - District 2
City Councilor - District 5
Board of Education - At-Large (2 seats)
Portland Water District Representative

You may now request your absentee ballot for the November 3 election.

You can call the City Clerk's office at (207) 767-3201 to request your ballot. The State's online request system is currently down for maintenance and is expected to be operating in a few weeks. Please note: We do not have the ballots yet -- ballots will arrive around October 3. When they do arrive, we will mail out the ballots to those who have requested them.
2020 City Construction Projects

The Planning Department has released a GIS layer to the City's GIS program containing information on each petroleum storage tank in South Portland.   You can click on this link to be brought to the GIS page, where you can find pertinent information about the tanks (contents, year built, etc.)
