Annual Plant and Bake Sale
American Legion Hall, 413 Broadway, South Portland
This fundraiser offers plants, baked goods, and gardening supplies donated by local businesses and individuals, including annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, wildflowers, and groundcovers. This fundraiser is also a benefit for the Community Garden Collective.
The sale opens to South Portland Land Trust members at 8 a.m. and to the general public at 9 a.m. Doors close promptly at 1 p.m. For those who want to make sure they get the good stuff before it’s gone, the Land Trust allows gardeners to join or renew their membership on the day of the sale.
The South Portland Land Trust and Community Garden Collective are seeking donations of plants and baked goods from individuals and businesses. Potted plants will be accepted up until Friday, May 19th. Baked goods donations can be brought to the American Legion Hall on Friday, May 19th, any time prior to 4 p.m., or on Saturday morning between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

The Land Trust and Garden Collective are also looking for volunteers to assist in digging and potting donated plants, transporting and arranging plants the day before the sale, and helping customers on the sale date.
