ATTENTION City of South Portland residents!

On Saturday, April 22 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., representatives from the City and ecomaine will be at the Mill Creek Hannaford Supermarkets store to provide information about the new Food Waste Recycling pilot coming to your city the week of May 7. The first 100 residents to visit our table will receive a FREE countertop food waste bin, as pictured here. #EarthDay2017 Learn more about this program here!
The 2017 Summer Program Brochure is now available online! 

Registration for Summer Programs begins online Monday, April 24. Summer Rec Camp registration begins Wednesday, May 3rd and After-School registration begins on May 10th.

The South Portland Police Department is seeking accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), a national credentialing body intended to enhance law enforcement as a profession and improve service delivery. 
 
The department is currently in the last year of a 3 year self-assessment period, evaluating its policies and procedures and seeking to improve accountability, reduce liability and increase public and officer safety.  We are anticipating an on-site assessment by CALEA assessors within the next 11 months. 
 
We are holding a forum to explain these efforts to the community.  Please join us:
