The Yellow Dot Program is a program where operators of motor vehicles keep emergency contact information in the glove box of their motor vehicles in case of an emergency. Examples include being involved in a motor vehicle crash or having a medical emergency while operating a motor vehicle.

The Yellow Dot Registration Kit includes a yellow folder with a form that the operator of the motor vehicle completes. This includes emergency contact information and also a medical history in case the operator is unconscious or unable to communicate with emergency responders. A yellow dot decal is placed on the driver's side of the back window of their motor vehicle.

The South Portland Police Department, The South Portland Fire Department, The South Portland/Cape Elizabeth TRIAD, and The South Portland VIPS have partnered with the Gorham/Westbrook TRIAD to promote this program.
