NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that City Council of the City of South Portland will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Monday, February 2, 2015, at approximately 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 25 Cottage Road, South Portland, Maine, to hear public comments on the proposed Title VI/Environmental Justice Non-Discrimination Plan (Plan) dated February 2, 2015 on behalf of the South Portland Bus Service prepared under the Provisions of the U. S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration Circular 4702.1B. A copy of the Plan may be found on the City‘s web site (www.southportland.org) and on the Bus Service link from that web site. A hard copy of the Plan may be read at the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall, 25 Cottage Road, South Portland, Maine between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Other arrangements for viewing the document including providing a copy of it in a form readable by vision impaired residents may be made by calling Art Handman, SPBS Title VI Coordinator, at (207) 767-5556.
All residents of South Portland and/or riders of the Bus Service will be heard with regard to any provision of the Plan which they would like the City to accept, modify, or reject.

Winter weather information
It as extremely rare that bus service will shut down during storms. In the event that a shutdown or early closing does occur, your local television and radio stations will have the information. If buses are pulled off the road early a specific time will be posted, but buses will remain out until all routes have been covered and folks have an apportunity to catch a bus home. The office will remain open for calls until the last bus is off the road, usually two hrs after the posted time.
